The Indian Air Force has announced 249 vacancies through AFCAT 01/2020 Exam. NCC Special Entry for Courses Commencing in January 2021.

  • AFCAT Entry (Ground Duty – Technical) – 105 Posts
    AE(L): PC – 40, SSC – 26
    AE(M): PC – 23, SSC – 16
  • AFCAT Entry (Ground Duty – NonTechnical) – 84 Posts
    Admin: PC – 24, SSC – 16
    Accts: PC – 14, SSC – 10
    Lgs: PC- 12, SSC – 08
  • NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch) – 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.

AFCAT Educational Qualification, Age Limit, Pay Scales, Exam Fee

Educational Qualification: The qualification required is different for each respective post. So candidates are requested to download the official notification for complete details regarding educational qualification and eligibility.

Age Limit: 

For Flying Branch:
  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 24 Years
For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch:
  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 26 Years

Pay Scale: Rs. 56,100 – 1,10,700 Per Month

Exam Fee:

  • AFCAT Entry: Rs.250/-
  • For NCC Special Entry: Not required to pay

Selection Process

  • Written Test
  • Stage 1 – Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion test
  • Stage 2 – Psychological test, Group Tests and Interview will commence after document check for the next 5 days.
  • Medical Exam
  • Merit List based on performance in the written test and AFSB interview, subject to being medically fit.
