SBI Clerk Preliminary Examination (online) consists of Objective Tests for 100 marks. This test is of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Key Points:

  • The test will have a separate timing for each section.
  • Negative marking for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • There will be no minimum qualifying marks for the individual subject as well as for aggregate (overall) are prescribed.

The SBI Clerk preliminary and main examination are both conducted on the same exam pattern. But the difficulty level of the mains exam is generally higher than the preliminary exam.

The difference between the exam pattern of prelims & main examination is as follows:

  • SBI Clerk main exam time duration is 2 hours 40 minutes.
  • An additional subject included in Mains Exam is financial awareness.

Key Points:

  • The questions asked in the exam, except for the General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.
  • There will be negative marks for wrong answers.
  • Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon).
  • Merit list will be drawn State-wise, category wise.
